I got up early so went for a walk to Jambiani beach. It was very cloudy and there was also a spell of rain when I was there. We had a nice breakfast at the hotel and then started our drive to the airport and fly back home.
There was rain on the way to the airport, and it got heavier as we got closer. We were lucky that the previous few days were mostly sunny and cloudy, otherwise this whole trip would have been a washout.
https://youtu.be/6A5Lj44D0mAThe rain had almost stopped by the time we reached the airport. We parked the car and waited for the people from the rental agency to collect it.

After we returned the rental car, we checked-in for our flights to Addis Ababa and onards to Mumbai. We cleared immigration and security check and then visited the Marhaba Lounge, thanks to our Priority Pass.
The lounge was nice and had some good food options and also some ineresting local beverages. The staff encouraged us to try the non-alcoholic Stoney Tangawizi ginger beer, known for its strong, spicy ginger flavor.
The flight to Addis Ababa was direct this time (unlike the inbound flight, which had a stopover in Kilimanjaro) and not too long. The skies got clearer as we left Zanzibar and flew across the the African mainland. There was a hot meal served onboard.
We had some time at Addis Ababa airport before our connecting flight, so we used our Priority Pass and visited the Plaza Premium Lounge there.
We had been here before and it had a good selection of local Ethiopian and western food as usual.
We spent some time at the lounge and then walked to the gate to board our flight to Mumbai.
The flight to Mumbai was uneventful. There was a dinner service onboard. We landed on time and then traveled home to Pune.
