This was part of Central Europe - Day 2 🇵🇱 🔗. I joined the Jewish Kraków tour at 5:00 PM, and we started at the Old Synagogue situated in the Kazimierz district. We learnt about the Jewish history in Kraków and in Poland. We also saw the Izaak Synagogue. We passed by the Corpus Christi Basilica and also saw some of the locations where the film ‘Schindler’s List’ was shot. ...

I joined the Old Town Kraków tour at 2:00 PM and we started at the Kraków Barbican, a fortified outpost once connected to the city walls, and we also saw the St. Florian’s Gate. From there, we made our way to the Rynek Główny which is the Main Square which features the city’s most recognizable icons. We saw the Kraków Cloth Hall and the Town Hall Tower. We also saw the St. Mary’s Basilica and the Church of St. Adalbert (or the Church of St. Wojciech). ...

I joined the World War II in Kraków walking tour at 10:30 AM and we started at the Cross of Katyń placed in the 1990s to remember the tragedy of Katyn in 1940, when thousands of Polish citizens lost their lives. We sat around on the benches in the park and our guide told us about the impact of World War II in Kraków and the impact of Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia on Poland and Kraków. ...
The overnight train journey from Prague was quite comfortable and I slept well. A small breakfast box was served around 5:30 AM. Our train stopped at Kraków Płaszów Railway Station a little after 6:00 AM and we were asked to move to other forward compartments because only a part of the train would proceed all the way to Kraków Główny Railway Station. My cabin mate thought it would be better if we take a tram to the main station from there rather than wait for the train to move. So we got down and walked up to the Estakada Dworzec Płaszów bridge and waited for the tram. We took the tram, but it was going the wrong way and we ended up reaching the last stop. I had time on my hands so I didn’t mind waiting for the tram to go back. But my cabin mate decided to take a taxi to his destination and insisted that he drop me off at Kraków Główny. ...
